DGP leads a visit to Rochdale
 
In mid September a party of Brethren from West Lancashire made an early start to venture into East Lancashire.
Arriving at Rochdale in good numbers, leading the team was the DGP Bill Seddon, he was accompanied by the Dept.DGP Paul Snape, and also in attendance were the District Wardens Frank Clarke (Senior Warden) and Stuart Mowbray (Junior Warden)
The District Secretariat also attended the meeting, Geoff Catterall (District Secretary) & Bob McGown (Asst.Dist Secretary)

Arriving at Rochdale Masonic Hall they were welcomed by Alex McLaren the District Grand Prefect.
The first order of the day was an enjoyable Bacon Barmcake.

The reason for the outing was not only to attend the District Meeting for East Lancashire, but to witness the appointment of a new Deputy D.G.P. Mervyn Wilson

Warmly welcomed to the meeting was the Grand Master, the acting Grand D.C. was the District DC from West Lancashire John Forster.

Following the meeting we were treated to a four course Banquet in the company of friends from both the District of East Lancashire and other Districts visiting the meeting.
